ADDINGTON YARDS.

THIS DAY. fPEB the " Stak'S " Pigeon Express.] There was a good yarding of stock at the Addington Saleyards to-day and a large attendance of buyers. ' Fat Cattle.— / There was a large yarding, the total entry numbering 238, which included a fair proportion of steers and some particularly tiseful heifers. The sale opened poorly, and the first two lots were passed unsold, but after this bidding; improved; but, throughout, the. sale was irregular. As a whole, previous values were maintained. Steers realised from £7 to £11, heifers £6 15s tx> £10 2s 6d, cows £5 l©s to £9 2s 6d and for one extra good £11 2s 6d. The price of beef ruled at iroin--26s W 295. / Calves.— A small yarding sold at prices ranging (from 15s to, £3, according to size and quality. Store BiiEEp,— The entry was much i larger than has-been tho case recently and' numbered 4790. There wns a, good demand for all sheep showing quality, hoggets and forward wethers being chiefly inquired for. Prices were on a pair with those ruling at late sales. The principal sales were: — Ewes, 197 at 14s 3d. 166 at 13s Bd, 702 at 13s, 72 at 12s, 77 lit 12s, 26 at 10s Id, 29 at 10s 6d, 88 at 9j>. 36 at 9s, 31* at 7s 2d, 56 at 6s Gd, 45 aft. 4s 6d ; lambs, 344 at 13s, 83 at 10s 6d. 250 at 103 Id. 85 at 9s lOck, 56 at 10s, 74 at 9s 9d, 32 at 9s Id, 41 at 7s sd; wetliers, 199 from 14s to 14s 6d, 489 a.t Uai 6d ; ewes and wethers, 250 at 15s Id, 321 at,l&, 63 at 14s 7d, 74 at 11s 6d, 77 at 11s 9d, 233 (merinoes) at 6s 6d. / Fat Lasibs. — About 3000 were yarded, and met Avith a keen demand, export buyers operating freely. The market wae firm at late rates. Tegs realised from 17s to 17s 9d, freezers 13s 6d to 16s 6d, butchers' 8s 9d to 14s. , ,- Fat Shteei'.t— The sale opened briskly, and v a line of especially prime wethers forwarded by Mr T. Stone^ of Tinwald, realised 26s for half-breds, and 31s. io' 44s for Shropshire Down cross. P IGS . — There was a fair yarding of fat pigs, but the sale was a dragging one, and prices showed a further decline on those obtaining a few weeks ago. Baconers realised from 47s 6d t0. 575, equal to 4d per lb ; porkers 32s 6d to 42s 6d, equal to 4£d per lb. Stores were also dull of eaie, prices being:— Large stores 18s! to 265, slips 10s .to 18s, weaners 5s to 10s.
