There wap a very large attendance, including visitors from all parts of the colony. The ii-ack is in good order, and very favourable for fa.t times. Passing the stand Fritz dre-w level, but turning out of tho fl'.xaight Ribbonwood drew clear again. He raced down the hack stretch two lengths to the good, and, easily holding Ins place, Ribbonwood won by five lengths. Time —First quarter 30Jsec, half-mile lman 6Eec, mile 2min 14 l-ssec. Bounding the turn out of tho straight Fritz gained slightly, and running down tho -back stretch ho was a length to tho good.
