Cook, J.T\) Alleged Desertion.— George Maier, who had been arrested) by Constable Connell -cm a.charge of having deserted from the baiquentin© La Bella at Trmaru, was remanded till Jan. 23 at that place. Bubniiaji A bsconders.— -George Salt an! W. S. Blandford 1 , two absconders from the Burnham Industrial School, were ordered to be sent back to the school. For having- stolen a few small articles, valued at 6s, 'from the yacht Yvonne, lying in Cass Bay, they were each sentenced to receive twelve/ strokes with a birch rod.
