PERSONAL.
The following were passengers for Hanmer Springs by the north tram to-day: — Air R. Collins and Miss Collins, Christchurch. Mr W. D. Young (Sydney), Mr G. LaingMeason (Timaru), Mr J. H. Morris (Cliertsey), and Messrs Max Fnedlander, Andrew M'Farlane and Peter Drummond (Ashburton) are in town. Mr A. Crabb, 'M.R.C.V.S., the manager of the hew city abattoirs, arrived in town to-day. . \ Mr J. H. Hayes, a visitor from London, left for Winchester to-day for a weed's fishing, " . . Mr J. Wallace (Sydney) left for Dunedin by the express train to-day. ])r and Mrs B. Volckman a-nd Mrs Gorton returned to Rangiorai to-day. I Mr and Mrs W. B, Craig (London) went to Akaroa to-day for a short stay on the Peninsula. On Tuesday Mr A. Wickes, of the engineering staff <>f the IJnion Company's steamer. Penguin, was presented with a token of «ste#m by bis comrades on, the occasion of his approaching marriage. Dr Trevor andi Mr G. Laing-Meason arrived from Wellingtotn by the s.s. Rotomahana- Ihis .morning.
