Owing to tne terrible state of ths country on account of the drought the Railway CkHaandsaoners have agreed to reduce the rates for the carriage of starving stock and fodder. Th© Premier, in reply to Mr Deakin, favours the suspension of all duties .on forage > during tibe drought, and that a time limit of at least three or four months should be given to enable importers to get supplies from America if necessary. .
