PRESENTATIONS.
■ — — ♦ [Per Pbess Association.]. HOKITIKA, May 30. The citizens of Hokitika made a presentation to the Mayor, Mr Michel, last evening in 1 recognition- of has servoieg as M&yor during the past seven years and his long! connection with the Fire Brigade and- other public institutions of the town. A large ntnnber was present, including the Horn J. Marshall, the Hon. W. Holmes amd the Mayor of Ross. A congratulatory telegram from the Acting-Premier was read Jmid great applause. The presentation consisted of an illuminated address to Mr Michel and a solid silver salver and teat set to .Mrs Michel. The proceedings were marked with great enthusiasm. At a. banquet which followed most complimentary references to Mr Michel's public cervices were made.
