The weather was beautifully, fine, and there ■was -a large attendance. Some excellent work was done z and the trials throughout ■were most interesting. Henr/s Be» 31, B. Prasor'a Lilico 28, A. M'Leod's Dice 27, and R. W. Trotter's Fly 27 were the next highest scorerß. T. Henry's Don and J. S. Weir's Clyde did not head! their sheep until they had reached the top of the hill, and lost so much time that they retired. A. M"J£innon's Don had a rather long head, but Iped his sheep very nicely, and after some trouble at the ring, yarded in I4min 39sec. Work then ceased 1 for the night.. On Friday morning H. T. Little'a Bock made a capital head, but was not under good command in the early stage of the downward journey t but then improved and did capital work at the ring and yards, A. Teller's Corbie, worked by F. Harding, was with difficulty got on to hia sheep and) afterwards split them in all directions. R. Trotter's Bobs got his sheep amongst the rocks and could not dislodge them. R. Fraser's Lilico headed and brought back in good: style, having to force the sheep all the way; did good though rather wide work at the yards nndi ring, and was unfortunate in failing to yard wild sheep. T. Henry's Ben lost aome points going outj but brought down well, and held very wild sheep well, just failing to yard. J. .8. Kennedy's Speed crossed in going out and was under poor command and lost his sheep. L. ATKinnon's Storm made a fine head'j but one of his sheep broke right away coming back and when headed near the sheep-yard* defied) the dog. R. Trotter's Fly lost some time going out, headed! well, and brought down in good line and time, was fairly good' at ring, but sheep split at yards and got away. 6. L. Rutherford's Clyde 'headed fairly wellj brought back slowly but parefully^ held) capitally, and had the sheep at the gate of the yard at call of time. ! A yarding competition for a sweepstake with £1 added! by tlje club was afterwardb decided. The prisses will be distributed at Tattersail's Hotel this evening at eight o'clock, and a "smoke social" will follow, to which competitors, members and contributors are invited.
