In jthe course of anLaddress at West Leeds, Mr H. J. Gladstone declared that no alternative Government was actually possible. ' His declaration greatly irritated the Liberals, and v Mr Gladstone mow explains that he made the statement in order to emphasise the necessity for converting the electorate to the Liberal Party's doctrines.
