CONVALESCENT HOME.
©. The monthly meeting of the committee of the Rhodes Convalescent Home was held on Tuesday, Mr W. R. Mitchell in the chair. Apologies for non-attendance were received from Mr Heaton Rhodes (tlie chairman), and Messrs W. D. Wood and A. Carrick. The Secretary's report was read and approved. The report showed that during the past month 34 patients had been received, and 26 had left the Home, and that there were 23 remaining, the aye rage daily number of patients being 18.14, as against 12.28 in the corresponding month of the previous year. A donation of a pair of carvers and a pair of vases by " A Friend " were reported, and a cordial vote of thank; was passed. The Secretary was requested to get in the yearly subscriptions as early a; possible. Tho monthly accounts were passed for payment, and the usual routine business transacted. ,
