PRESENTATIONS.

The churchwardens" and members of St Mary's Vestry, Addington, paid a surprise visit to the vicarage on Monday evening last, for the purpose of making a presentation to the Rev Walter A. Bean, on the occasion of his birthday. Mr A. Schwartz, parishioners' churchwarden, on behalf of hiu fellow-officers, presented the vicar with an enlarged group (framed) of the vestrymen and churchwardens. He expressed the hope that Mr Bean would be long spared to perform the work in connection with the parochial district of Addington. Mr Bean thanked the donors for their appreciation of his services, and also for the handsome memento of his birthday. Tho members of St Mary's choir, on Wednesday evening/ presented the Rev W. S. Bean with a clerical hand-bag, which, bore on a silver plate the vicars monogram, " W.5.8., 18, 9, 99." The presentation was made, on behalf of the choir, by Mr A. Ward, choirmaster, and Mr Bean thanked the members for their expression of goodfeeling towards himself and Mrs Bean, and for the useful present.
