PRESENTATIONS.
A pleasant gathering of the employees of the freezing department, Belfast, took nnice at the residence of Mr J. M'Conchie, on Monday morning, when Mr and Mrs George Bown, of Papanui, who are leaving for the North Island, were presented with a travelling rug, -a portmanteau and a gold brooch. Mr Jack made the presentation, on behalf of the men, and Mr Bown suit-, ably responded. ' ■ At a meeting of the Belfast. Cricket Club Committee, held in the Town Hall on Monday evening, Mr George Murray was presented with a bat, the gift of Mr M. K. . Daniells. Woodend, for having gained the highest batting average during the last season. .
