juarch zy. The attempt to get off the championship rowing events this morning was again unsuccessful. The crews went down to the post, but the water was too rough. All hope of getting the races off to-day isfctan end, but the crews will assemble again at 5 p.m. The Wairewa and Wellington ■crews leave to-day^ but Pjcton haardecided,tq 'see the thing out, consequent upbn tfr& decision of the Association fhat the chani^ pionships must; be rowed. Most; of the visiting oarsmen are returning by the Westralia this afternoon. Later. The wind has gone down, and there are better prospects for the championship rowing races than has yet been presented. An attempt will be made at 5 p.m. At the last moment the Wairewa and Wellington crows both decided to remain another day.
