. . Queen's Rifles, o amaru. Aggregate, 608 (champion of New Zealand). ' •' Private Bi'Gregor, the present champion, has been a steady and reliable rifle shot for Borne years. In 1896 he curae to the ftont, winning the championship of the province at the Otago district meeting. In the same year he fired as a member of the Oamaru Rifle Club at the last Oamaru meeting of the Rifle Association, and held a strong position throughout, and but for a miss with his last shot would then have secured the championship. Mr M'Gregor again distinguished himself at the meeting of the New South Wales Association, but owing to prtssure of business -was unable to attend the Association meeting held last year at Auckland.
