A match, to be played at Lancaster Park on Wednesday, has been arranged between the officers of H.M.B. Tauranga and a Lancaster team. A match was played at Greendale on Saturday between the Greendale and Dungandel teams, and resulted in a win for Greendale. Scores :— Greendale 62 (E. W. Wilson 24 and T. Fairbairn Iland49) ; Dunsandel 34 (C. Wright 7). C. Wright and J. Bnrgess in the first innings and T. Irvine and B. C. Dunlop in. the second innings bowled well for Dnnsandel, as did L. M'Crostie (five wickets for 14) and W. M'Crostie (four for 13) for Greendale. A match was played on Saturday between the East Christchurch and Lyttelton schools on the ground of the former, and resulted in a win for East Christchurch by three wickets. The following are the scores: — East Christchurch 22 and 46 for seven wickets (Washer 9 and 6 and Wilson 1 and 12) ; Lyttelton 33 and ; 32 (Story 17 and 0 and Stewart 7 and 0). The bowlers were H. Gerard and Washer for East Christchurch, and Jones and Stewart for Lyttelton. A match was played at Stunner on Thursday between the Sumner team and the Christchurch Chemists, and resulted in a win for Sumner by 33 runs. The scores were:— Sumner 101 (Gilpiu 38 and Monck, aen., 26) } Chemists 68, of which Quill made 33. Gilpin and Wanklyn for Sumner and Vangioni for the Chemists were the mpsb successful bowlers. " TheMayfield v. Ashburton match was played at Lagmhor on Saturday on a firstclaßS cocoanut matting pitch, which played very faßt. The ABhburton players were too good for the Mayfield men, and beat them by one innings . and .26 runs. The principal scorers for Ashburton were Percy, Morrisaey, Eussell and Crisp.; for Mayfield, Harper and Peter showed best form. Mr Buckley provided luncheon for both teams.
