A verdict of wilful murder has been returned by the Coroner's jury against Cusack. A Catholic priest gave evidence that Cusack came to him after the tragedy and virtually admitted the crime. He begged for some slight financial assistance? The priest urged him to surrender himself to the police, but he refused, and the clergyman thereupon informed the police. No trace of the murderer has yet been discovered. Mrs King is slightly better, but if she recovers she will be paralysed in her legs for life.
