— » i — [Per Press Association.! ' DUNEDIN, Jan. 28. The Conciliation Board met at Palmerston to-day to consider a dispute between the Allandale Coal - miners' Industrial Union and the Allandale Coal Company. The order of reference by Che .Union contained twenty-three items in dispute, and the Union also asked for the reinstatement of three members who had been dismissed from employment, and for compensation for their loss of work. ' After the Board met a conference between the parties was suggested, and the suggestion vras acted on with the result that a settlement was arrived at on fourteen questions, but there is little probability of a settlement on other points. The Board will resume consideration of the dispute on Monday.
