At the annual meeting of the Hikurangi Collieries Company, Limited, the annual report stated that notwithstanding the many difficulties attendant on opening up a new mine and obtaining a market, the quantity of coal sold from July 6 to Dec. 31 had been 4477 tono, with a steadily micreasing output. The statement of accounts showed the total liabilities to be and the total assets • INVEUCARGILL, Jan. 28. The Invercargill Comoany, who took up the Arrow Falls claim, obtained 78oz from the first wash up. This gratifying result has created excitement in mining circles.
