FIRE.

1». A fire broke out at about S o'clook last evening at the residence of Mr J. R. Charlton, Armagh Street. The engines were quickly on the spot, and the fire, which was in the study, was put out before it got a hold. There was no one in tlie room at the time, and the first intimation Mrs Charlton had of the occurence was the arrival of the engines. It is supposed that the fire originated through the explosion of a kerosene lamp, which was used for the purpose of heating an incubator. Damage was done to the extent of about £20, and there is no insurance.
