AVONSIDG.

The annual meeting of parishioners was held last evoning. Thero was a very good attendance. The Rev W. A. Pascoe, the vicar of the parish, presided. The annual report showed that there had been a greater amount of sickness in tho parish during tho year than usual. During tho year tho vicarago had been painted and tho cemetery well drained. It was resolved that Messrs Cuthbert and Webb should examine the floor aud bell turret of tho clmroh, and report thoir state to tho vestry. A number of excellent concerts had been given during the year, and thanks wero due to tho parishioners who had assisted to get them tip. The balancesheet showed an expenditure of .£529 los Id. The report and balance-sheet wero adopted. The debt on the parish avaowntsd to £47 12s Gd, which the vestry suggest should be paid off by a special offering on Trinity Sunday. Tho following aro the officers for the year : — Churchwardens — Mr J. P. Boulton (appointed by the vicar), and Mr H. P. Hill (elected by the parishioners) ; vestrymen — Messrs R. Hill Fisher, J. L. Scarvell, J. G. L. Scott, J. H. Sluis, W. H Crichton, W. D. Lawrence, H. Slater. C. P. Beadell, F. E. J. Wright and H. E.. Smith ; auditor, Mr E. Cuthbert. Votes of thanks were passed to the ladies for assisting to decorate the church for the Easter festival, tho choir, the outgoing vestry, and the Sunday school teachers.
