ST STEPHEN'S, ASHBURTON.
The annual meeting of the parishioners of St Stephen's Clnu'ch was held on Thursday evening. There was a fair attendance, and the Rev T. A. Hamilton presided. The annual report showed the affairs of tho church to be in a flourishing condition. The following officers were elected: — Churchwardens, Messrs E. Stephens and Bowman Fox ; vestry, Major Steward, Messrs D. Thomas, F. Ferriman, J. Cambridge, P. Cox, J. Bland, F. Mainwariug, E. W. Haumer, D. Stock and Dr Maude. Votes of thanks wero passed to the lady workers and tho Rev T. A. Hamilton, and a vote of sympathy to Dr and Mrs Trevor in tho loss thoy had sustained by tho death of their only child. The meeting closed by singing the Doxology.
