PRESIDENT'S CUP MATCHES.
United No. 1 v. Midland No. 2. — Thia game waß began at Hagley Park on Saturday, when the United gained a strong lead. Scores :— United 247 (S. B. Wilson 99, Hair 35, Lambie 32, Hale 27, J. F. Wilson 19 and Atkinson 11) ; Midland 36 (Euaaell 14) and 11 for no wickets (Winstanley 11 not ont). Lambie and Wood bowled well for the United, and Strange did best of the many Midland bowlers tried. United No. 2 v. Midland No. I.— This match was commenced at Hagley Park, and the United had a little the beat of the play. Scores :— Midland 80 (Barry 15, Barge 12 not out, and M'Guire and Bramley 10 each) ; United 112 (Chamberlain 22, Craig 19, Blnnden 17, Gresson 13 and Aitken 1Z). Blunden and Hill bowled well for the United, and Robertson was the most successful Midland trundler. , Lancastbb Pabk " B " Team v. College No. I.— Played on the College ground. Scores— Park 114 (Bates 30, Tolan 18, Irwin 17, Johnston 12 and Board 10), College 63 for eight wickets (Ollivier Bros. 13 each). Grant, for the College, and Johnston, for the Park, were the best of the bowlers tried. ,
