WESLEYAN SYNOD.
[Fxb Pmss Association.! TIMABU, Nov. 29. The Wesleyan District Synod concluded til aitting to-day. The Bubjeot of foreign t-jussions occupied soma time, and dissatisfaction was expressed at the indifference of toany circuits to the subject. A resolution to aak the Sydney Board of Missions to •end over a returned missionary aB a deputation, was carried. The district returns •fere :— Ministers 20, home missionaries 2, ohuroh members 2599, attendants 14,078, Sunday-schools 53, scholars 5805, Band of Hope memberß 2152, circuit debts *mOS. It was resolved to urge circuits to liquidate their debts in view of union being consummated with theUhited Free Methodist and Bible Christian Churches. A recommendation to the conference was agreed to that the third Sunday in April next should be set apart as a day of thanksgiving for the union. A resolution Was passed that while strongly opposed to denominational schools, the Synod heartily accepted the suggestion to introduce a Scripture text-book into the State schools, and requested ministers to draw the attention of congregations to the subject on Sunday, Deo. 8. A resolution war* passed condemning - the retention of the Contagions Diseases Aot on the Statute Book, and urging its repeal. After recording the usual votes of thanks the Synod dissolved. '
