A match was played on Thursday between teams representing the Hairdressers and New Brighton Clubs, and resulted in a win for tho Hairdressers by two runs on the first innings. Scores: — Hairdressers, first innings 49 (Gr. Deal 19), secondinnings 78 (Mitchell 28); New Brighton first innings 47 (Preece 19), second ipninge 30 for three wicketa (Prebble 17 not out). Mitchell and Cusack for the Hairdressers, and Prebble and Cain for New Brighton wore the most successful trundlera. •
