[Per Press Association.] INVEBCABGILL, August 28. A fire which Btarted in the bakehouse of J. L. Cheyne, North Invercargill, to-nigbt destroyed the entire premises and stock of groceries, also the store of Miss GibEOn adjoining, but the. stook of the latter waa removed. The rivers are rising rapidly to-day, and the temperature being high heavy floods are expected, there being a large quantity of snow on the ranges.
