DUNEDIN PROHIBITION LEAGUE.

The Dunedin Prohibition League has passed the following resolution: — "That the attention of the Minister of 'Defence' be directed tq the remarks of Messrs J Tarnbull and B. P. CnthbertßOn, J.P.s at Inyeroargill, in the Hewitt case, reflecting seriously on the conduct of the police in employing special detectives to obtain evidence of sly grog-selling, and that he be aeked to take suoh steps as will support the police in the action taken by them in this case."
