DUNEDIN PROHIBITION LEAGUE.
The Dunedin Prohibition League has passed the following resolution: — "That the attention of the Minister of 'Defence' be directed tq the remarks of Messrs J Tarnbull and B. P. CnthbertßOn, J.P.s at Inyeroargill, in the Hewitt case, reflecting seriously on the conduct of the police in employing special detectives to obtain evidence of sly grog-selling, and that he be aeked to take suoh steps as will support the police in the action taken by them in this case." The action of the Dunedin Licensing Committee in refusing all eleven o'clock licenses was commended.
