j The ordinary monthly, meeting of this : Board was held on June 8, all the members being present. Sir John Hall occupied the chair. Correspondence was read and ' dealt with. Mr Westenra gave notice that at the next meeting he would move that Bteps should be taken to levy a general rate of one farthing in the pound on the rateable property of the district. It was resolved that Mr John Troup's application I for permission to maintain the two gates on Steel's bridle-track should be granted, ' the neceßsary notices having been advertised, as required by the Act. The accounts I on the monthly pay-sheet, amounting to .£l2B, were passed for payment.
