CANTERBURY CRICKET ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association was held »t the City Hotel last evening ; present— Messrs R. B. Mathiaa (in the chair), L. A. Cuff, J. A. Caygill, H. W. Heliyer,.C. Treweek and T, D, Harman (bonoj^ry secretary); A letter was read from the Otago Cricket Association, stating that the committee of that body had agreed to play Canterbury afc Cbrietchurch on Feb. 23 and ?5. The datea ; were agreed -to. A telegram was. received from the secretary of the Auckland Association, stating that' vthe programme for the Fijian tour would be carried out as previously arranged. It was resolved, on^ ithe motion of Mr Cuff, seconded by Mr ! Harman—" That in the event of Mr A. MY | Ollivier not being back in Christchuroh oh Saturday next, the; captains of the four senior teams be asked to , eend in a \kt of likely and available men for the Fijian BiatiQb,'* .;; : £_fter dealing with some routine business the meeting closed.* A pleasant game was played at Culverden on Saturday afternoon between the Amnri Coanfcy Club, and the Culverden Club. , The County won" with. 136 runs (Crowley making 78 not. out) against 68 for the township. The principal scorers were 6'Malley 42, Shipton 12 and TKompBQn, 11 not out., Crowley and Rutherford' bowled, for the county, and Foicbea, Ship-, ton and Coßtin for the township.' ' ' :
