Yesterday morning, about six o'clock, Mias Hilda Lewis, daughter of Mr George Lewis, of Lyttelton, was found dead with her throat cut. The deceased had been ailing for the past year, and latterly her mind had become affected through pby-

This morniug a boy, named John Milne, fell from a dray, and Btriking his head, was stunned. He was taken to the Hospital and is now recovering. This afternoon a girl named Sarah Tasker, aged fifteen, met with an accident at the foot of the hilis. She picked up a dynamite cap, and was pricking it with a I pin, when it exploded. Two fingers and part of the thumb of ber left hand were blown off, and her right hand was slightly injured. She w.s at once brought to the hoßpital and attended to.
