ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A case of poisoning occurred on Sunday, at Heathcote. It appears that on Saturday evening some brawn was purchased at a sbop in Chrißtchuroh by a member of the family, and was partaken of for breakfast on Sunday, morning by the husband, wife and one of the children. Shortly after the meal the child was taken ill, and soon afterwards the mother and father were also attacked with violent internal pains. Medical aid waa at once procured, • and the case was pronounced to be one of poisoning, and it was not until late in the evening that the patients were out of danger. The meat has been handed over to the city authorities, and an analysis of it will be made.
