The Dancer did only moderate work preparatory to his appearance at Sandown Park to-day. Arquebus beat Camoola over a mile and a half on the tan in 2min 47sec, the latter finishing badly. Autonomy and Warpaint had a six-forlogg spin, pulling np in lmin 201 sec. Chatham did the same distance easily half-a-second faster; Sprig-o'-Myrtle romped home in front of Biringi and The Swell. The mile was done in lmin 49£ sec, and this horse must prove ver/ dangerous in the Newmarket Handicap. Warpaint ia hardening (or the Bhort distance events, but St Hippo is receding in the Cup betting.
