fSrKOIAL TO PBKSS AHBOOIATION.T LONDON, Oct. 13. The steamer TJinbria experienced similar weather crossing the Atlantic to the steamer Augusta Victoria, and two of the f emalo passengers died o£ fright. BRUSSELS, Oct. 18. A passenger boat on the river Scheldt capsized, and ten persons were drowned. [Per Press Association.! DUNEDIN, Oct. 14. William Mathewson, a ploughman, at Otahu station, Waiau district, was thrown from a young horse yesterday and received injuries which proved fatal. His family reside at Woodend. An inquest was held at the Ashburton Hospital on Wednesday on the body of William Bishop. Bishop was found in an unconscious Btate under a terrace at the Eakaia river, near Mothven, over which it is presumed he fell, on Friday, Oct. 2. He was brought down to the Hospital, but never regained consciousness, and died there on Tuesday morning. The deceased was about fifty-seven years old, and had no relations in the district. The inquest was adjourned until Saturday for the pro-
duction of evidence.
