NEW ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.

The following are the electorates as amended by the Representation Commission :— LTTTKLTON aomprises the Fort Levy Biding of the Akaroa County and that portion of the Heathcote Eoad District which is situated to the south-west of the Canal and Eoad Reserve between Woolaton and Linwood, together with the Boroughs of Lyttelton and Sumner. KLLEBMERE oompriaea the ridings of Wainui, Little Eiver, Le Bon's Bay and Okain'a Bay of Akaroa County; that portion of the Ellesmere Biding of the Selwyn County lying to the south of the Southbridge railway line and of the North Eakaia and Taumutu junction road; that portion of the Lincoln Eiding lying to the south of the Southbridge railway line and west of the Halswell road district, lying to the south-east of the road leading from the Halawell Eirer at section 1487 to and past the Hahwell Eoad Board office to the plantation and road reserve, thence along that reserve to the Heathcote Eiver near Cashmere, and to the north-east of the Heathcote Eiver. This district includes also the Borough of Akaroa and the Southbridge town district. BICCAKTON compriseslthat portion of the Avon Siding of tne Solwyn County, which iB situate to the weßt of a line drawn from the northern boundary of the Borough of St Albans to Kelly's road, thence northerly along that road and Hill's road, and Hawkins' road to the Canal and Eoad Eeserve and along that reserve, crossing the railway line at Chaney's, and along the road skirting the Waimakariri river to White's bridge, and the whole of the Eiccarton Eiding of the Selwyn County, excepting (1) Hagley Park and the block of land between the Park boundary and the railway and between the Eiccarton road and south of the Avon river ; and (2) that portion ot the Eiccarton Biding lying Bouth of Newton and local Tramway road and west of the Prebbleton and Waimakariri road ; together with that portion of the Halswell river at Section 1487, to and past the Halswell Eoad Board office to the plantation and road reserve and along that road reserve to the Heathcoto river near Cashmere and to the south-west of the Heathcote river, and that portion of the Lincoln Eiding of the Selwyn County which lies to the east of the Harewood and Hampton's roads and of the Southbridge railway line, and north of Leadley's road, of the road at the western boundaries of Sections 5772, 7626, 5784, and 5502, and of the Halswell road by Ladbrook'e. THK CITr OK CHBIbTOHUBCn comprises the city of Christchurch, and the boroughs of Sydenham and St Albans, together with Hagley Park and a narrow strip of the Eiccarton Eiding between the park boundary and the northern trunk railway, bounded on the north by the Avon river and on the south by the Biccarton rond. SELWYN comprises the Ridings of Conrtenay, Malvern and Coleridge, that portion of the Biccarton Eiding situated south of Newton and the coal tramway road and west of the Prebbleton and Waimakariri road, and that portion of the Lincoln Kidin • situated to the west of the Harewood and i '.mpton's roads and the Southbridge ra> /ay line and south of the Halswell roaa by Ladbrooke's to the j ->ad forming the western boundaries of Sec dons 5502, 07" t, 7626 and 5772, and east of that road and i r Leadley'a road and that portion of the Ellesmere Biding situated east of the >olwyn and Bealey's road, north of the Eakaia and Irwell road, Buckley'B road and Brookeide and Irwell road and west of the Southbridge branch railway line.

BAKAIA comprises the ridings of Mount Hutt and South Eakaia, in the County of Ashburton, and portion of the Wakanui Biding of the same County which lies east of the road loading from Ashburton to the beach via tho Wakanui Poßt Office, and that part of the Upper Ashburton Biding which lits east of the Ashburton Eiver, together with that portion of the Ellesmere Hiding which lies to the north of the road leading westerly from Southbridge, known as the North Eakaia and Tauinutu Junction road, and to the north-west of the Southbridge railway line as far as the Brookside and Irwell road, and south of that road, known as Buckley's road, and of the Eakaia and Irwell road and west of the Selwyn and Bealey's road. This district includes also the Borough of Aahburton and has within ita boundaries the town district of Hampstead. EANOITATA. comprises the Ridingß of Ashburton, Eangitata and Mount Somors of the Ashburton County; that portion of the Upper Ashburton Eiding of the same County which lies to the west of the Ashburton Eiver j and that part of the Wakanm Riding of the Ashburton County which lies to the west of the road leading from the Borough of Ashburton to the beach, via Wakanui, together with that part or the Eaukapuka Eiding of Gerald.me c e 0U Bty which is situated on each Bide of the Haehae-te-moana Eiver, and w av Cam P b ella road, running past Woodbury and east of the Wsihi Eiver j that part of the Mount Peel Biding of the

Geraldine County which lies east of the Waihi Gorge road, and of a line drawn to the summit of the i'our Peaks Range, thence to the source of the south branch of the Orari Kiver, thence along that river and Tripp'B PaBS road down to the North Opuha Eiver, and thence up that river to ita source, then over the saddle and on to Foteat Creek, and that part of the Temuka Riding situated north-east of the Ohapi Creek, and north of Baker's road. The Tinwald and Geraldine town districts are in this electorate. ABHLBY comprises the Counties of Eaikoura, Arnuri and Cheviot, together with the Hidings o£ Waipara, Mount Thomaa and Eowai of the Ashley County, and that portion of the Oxford Riding of the last-mentioned County, which in situated west of the road leading from East Oxford northwards towards Glentui, and north of the OxfordSheffield railway. The Amberley town district is in this electorate. KAIAPOI comprises the Ridings of Oust and Slanileville and the West Eyreton road district of the Ashley County, together with that portion of the Oxford Biding situated Bouth of the Oxford-Sheffield railway and eaat of the road leading from East Oxford towards Glentui, and the east portion of the Eyreton road district of the Ashley County, situated in the Eaiapoi Island north of Cherry road and east of Eaikainui Creek, and of the road passing Sections 738 and 560. Included also in this electorate are the Boroughs of Bangioraand Eaiapoi. The northern, southern and eastern boundaries of this district are unaltered. AVON. comprises that portion of the Heathcote road district of the Selwyn County which is situated north-east of the canal and road reserve (or in other words the present electoral boundary) and the whole of the Eyreton Boad District of the Ashley County excepting that portion of the Eaiapoi Island south of Cherry road, neai Clarkville Post| Office, east of Eaikainui Creek, and of the road passing Sectiont 738 and 560, together with that portion ol the Avon Boad District of the Selwyn County which lies east of a line commencing at the northern boundary of the Borougt of St Albans and proceeding northerly to and along Kelly's Boad, Hill's Road Hawkins road, and the canal and road xcBerve to and across the railway line a( Chaney's station and along the roac skirting the Waimakariri river to White's bridge. The Woolston and Linwood Towt Districts are in this Electoral District.
