Rangiora Trades and Labour Union.

The fortnightly meeting of the Rangiora Trades and Labour Union was held at their hall, High street, on June 21, 1890. There were present Mr P. Morine, President, Messrs S. Brewer, J. Horton, H. Hamilton, T. Thompson, B. Bowse, P. Murray, junr., E. Shmidfc, Cominitteemen ; and a good number of the members. One new member was enrolled, and the following resolutions were unanimously passed— " That the President, Mr P. Morine, deliver an address of welcome to his Lordship the Bishop of Christchurch on Monday evening on behalf of the members of the Bangiora Trades and Labour Union." " That the Secretary get 300 contribution cards printed and the log of prices for labour; " also, to attend tho Early Closing meeting to be held on July 3, 1890, to express the sympathy and support of tho members of the Union in the movement. Accounts were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
