Kaiapoi Farmers' Club.
At an adjourned meeting of the Kaiapoi Farmers' Club held last night, at the Club's rooms, Mr Thomas Pashby in the , chair, it was resolved, " That a ploughing match be held on Thursday, August 23, 1 entries to close on August 21. Aleo, that I the classes be for Champion Double-furrow, Double-furrow, Champion Single-furrow, Wheel Class, and for boys under eighteen. • Messrs Birnie, Busby, Merrin, Scott, Walls, Coup, and Pashby were elected a Working Committee, and Messrs Merrin ■ and Pashby a Ground Committee. It was decided to invite Messrs Beece and Co. and F. and D. Duncan, to exhibit pulverising ploughs at the match. Eules were adopted, and the Secretary instructed I to arrange for luncheon booths, &c. After appointing judges for ploughing, harness,, and horses, a well-attended meeting adjourned.
