The Match Against Warbrick's Team,
The Canterbury representatives selected to engage the Native footballers on Saturday next met at the Commercial Hotel last evening, and {unanimously elected Mr "W. M. Allardyce as captain. The team have arranged for daily practices from 12.80 to 1.30 p.m. on Cranmer Square, and nightly practices in Messrs Wilkin and Company's large wool store in Hereford street, at 7.30 p.m.; in addition to which a match » gainst All Comers has been arranged for "Wednesday at 4 p.m., on the Christchurch ground, North Park. The Native representatives, strengthened by some of the best of the northern Pakehas, arrived by the u.s. Kotomahana this morning.
