DOGS AND POULTRY.

DUNEDDT, Attgust 7. The third day's exhibition of the Dog and Poultry Society, notwithstanding the "bad weather, was excellently attended, and great interest was taken in the ' dogs,, the various breeds being well represented. The fox terriers, whicli numbered 50, were Hent from nearly every Provincial district in the Colony. Mr Twopenny's Belvoir. Tom carried off the championship, and his progeny were also successful. In the class for dogs, Mr George Burgess' (Wellington) Welcome Jack and Colonel Bailey's Simla Jock were equal for second prize, and Mr P. Rogan's (Wellington) exhibit was third. In the class fpr bitches, the first prize in puppies over six and under twelve months was taken by Mr Gr. Smalbone (Nelson), and Colonel Bailey took first and"third prizes in puppies under six months. Mr W. Marlow (Christchurch) took third prize for pointers. >
