PILLIET ON HIS TRAVELS.
*■ The following letter is re-printed from the Napier Telegraph. Its heading is : "Honour to whom honour ia due " : — Sib, — I ace by your paper this evening we are honoured by a visitor in the person of W. H. Pilliet, Esq., the membor for Stanmore. H«d the people of Napier known in time of the honour about to be conferred upon tbem by tha member for Stanmore, in preferring their sooiety even to that of his own constituency, who must be hungering for his return, they would doubtless have organised a deputation to meet him on his arrival. The time for that, air, is now, I fear, gone by. Might I, however, suggest that we should show our esteem for this hone.t etraightforward Liberal by a grand bonfire on the hills. Who knows but our own true blue may have gone south to honour the electorate of Stanmore ? Be it ours to set them the examplo of rendering "honour to whom honour is due," and give th9ir member the full fifth of November honours due to a — Guido Faux.
