WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD.

■* Tho monthly meeting of this Board was held last night | present— Messrs Parnham (Chairman), 0 Smith, and H. J. Day. Mr J. Sims applied for permission to clear tho silt away from the front of his wharf, stating that the work would cost 30s. It was resolved that Mr Sims be granted tho sum of 30s j to do the work to the satisfaction of the Secretary. The Town Olerk applied and obtained leave to lay a pipe drain down the right-of-way between Beserves 80 and 81. Accounts, amounting to £4 10s, were passed for payment. It was reported that there was a capital bar, and that the Janette had signalled, on crossing the bar last week, that there was ten feet of water; and she had crossed at least one hour before full tide. The meeting then adjourned.
