An exciting race took place between the last named pair, Eingaßk winning by scarcely half a length. Yankee and Mahanga made good third and fourth respectively. Lonehand camo to grief at the first hurdle, and rolled over, throwing his rider. Tartar misßed the hurdle at tho back of tho courßP, leaving the race to Morning Star, A.G., and Buahine, who ran in the order named. The second time Buahine ran behind the hurdle near the Judge's box, thus reducing the race to two competitors. Morning Star, who had the raco apparently all his own way, fell at the last hurdle, the bit getting out of his mouth, and did not finish. A.G. oame in an easy winner. Tartar, Looehaad, and Morning Star were favourites in the totalisator.
