The Register gtveß tho following estimate of tho harvest : — Total cultivated wheat area, 1,940,000, yielding fivo bushels per acre; home requirements, 3,500,000 bushels, leaving 6,200,000, equal to 165,000 tons for export. Major Fergusson reoommends the cultivation of various tropical products in the northern territory, but discourages the proposals to grow tea, tho rainfall boing*insufficient.
