AGRTCULTURAL SCHOOL v. SOUTHBRIDGE.
The return m.^tch botweon tho above Clubs carno off on Saturday last at. Lincoln, being tho first football nintch played on the: ground of the school. After tho rival teams had bocn cntorfuineti ut. luncheon Bb the College by tho Director, Mr W. E. Ivty, they proceeded to the field, and commenced piny at 2 p.m. Tho homo team were captained by Mr Knight, and tlio visiting t.tmm by Mr Claude Willis, and tho game was well contested from tho start to the finish. In the first snd third spoils no advantage wm gained by either side, although Southbridgo had the wind in their favour. In the second spell, after some hard fighting, the visitors slowly but gurely forced their ndror»->riro K«/»V, ami Willis, after making v amuro aoogy run, gained a touch-down for his party, but the try was a failure. The same may be eaid for the result of tho fourth spell, in which Olaudo Willis Hg'rin obt -lined v f ouch-down. For tho winning team (Southbridge) tho Willis Brothers did tlm lion'o share of Iho work, K. Willis (Christ's College) playing with much pluck and judgmoni. The School team played well nn.l pluckily throughout tho Krt'rio, all working nicoly together, hard on tho lmli, and, with practice, they will undoubtedly make a powerful team.
