MR WRIGHT AT COURTENAY.
♦ Mr Wright addressed a meeting of the electors of Coleridge at the schoolhouse, Courtenay, on Monday, but owing to the inclemency of the weather there wero nofc more than forty present. At the conclusion of his address Mr Wright replied to numerous questions, and on the motion of Mr Nelson, seconded by Mr Fairbaim, the meeting accorded him a vote of thanks and confidence by a large majority. An amendment by Mr Tosswill, seconded by Mr Foster, for a vote of thanks only, boing negatived by 20 to 4.
