UNEMPLOYED COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the Committee of the unemployed was held last evening in theTemperanco Hall, Gloucester street, Mr William Kent in the chair. It was resolved that a public meeting should be convened at an early date, for the purpose of takinginto consideration the advisability of establishing a labour agency speoially for the convenience of labouring men and 01 employers of labour. It was oho determined that a deputation of three members of the Committee should wait upon his Worship the Mayor to make arrangements for the meeting. From the complete subscription list which had been prepared, it appeared that the sums collected or Bent in for tho benefit of the unemployed amounted in tho aggregata to upwards of £100, and the accounts showed that a total of £60 had been expended. A balance-sheet is to be presented at the public meeting.
