DIOCESAN SUNDAY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Diocesan Sunday School Association was held last evening, in the College Library, the attendance, which included^ number of Sunday School teachers, being very good. Amongst the clergy present were the Revs 11. C M. Watsoii, 11. B. Glasson, T. Flavell, E. G. Penny, and J. W. Stack. The chair was taken by Mr H. R. Webb, who called upon the Rev 11. C. M. Watson to deliver his promised lecture upon " The Sunday School ; its objects and management." The lecturer handled his subject in an able manner, dwelling specially upon the influences for good which Sunday Schools, if rightly conducted, must exercise upon the young, and upon tho beneficial employment which these institutions provided for the young people who undertook the work of teaching. The Rev gentleman referred to the appliances which he deemed necessary, and specified the respective duties of superintendents and teachers. In the discussion which ensued, the following gentlemen took part:— The Revs E. G. Penny, !. Flavell, J. W. Stack, and H. B. Glasson, and Messrs Webb, Murphy, Ford, Holmes, and Stokes. A hearty vote of thanks, proposed by tho Rev T. Flavell, and seconded by the Rev J. W. Stack, was accorded to the lecturer. At wae announced that the next meeting of the Association would be held in the St. Michael's school-room on March 6, and thafc a model lesson would then be given.
