The thanks of the committee were voted to the Manager for his letter and samples. A letter was read from Messrs Cobb and Sawtell, enclosing a circular from Devitt and Hett, Brokers, London, of which the following is an extract : — " We would call the attention of our Auckland friends to the parcels marked 8 in diamond ; O. & G. McDonald, Raglan; Wallis & Co. j per Pride of the Thames, as specimens of what is wanted here, and we confidently recommend regular shipments of like qualities (if sales at £30 to £31 will show a profit), as we fee certain that this price will be steadily maintained, if not exceeded."
