Motoring Accident
Mr R. Grainger, an employee of Messrs Ball Bros, of Paengaroa, was the victim of a serious accident at an early hour on Thurs day morning. He was travelling bv oar into Te Puke when he mistook the road at the new br-dga over the Kaikokopu stream, with the result that the car plunged into the water. Although suffering from Concussion and shock, Mr Grainger managed to extricate himself and reach a neighbour’s residence where he received attention. A call was then put through to Tauranga and the St. John Ambulanoe, with Mr F. C. Warner in charge, journeyed to Paengaroa, and took patient through to the Tauranga Hospital, where his injuries, which consisted of facial injuries, concussion, and severance of .tendons in one of his hands,- were attended to.
