An interesting game will be played at Te Puke to-morrow, when the Maketu team will meet a team from Matakana, The local team is in good form and should give a good account of itself, The game will be played on No. I Ground, and will be controlled by Mr S» Heather
A team will ba chosen from the following players to represent the combined Paparuoa-United Club against Rangiu u on Saturday Taylor, Webber, King!, Porter, Palmer, Lipsey, Spratt, Pile, Me Cauley, Joyce, Tanner. Jensen, Bryant. Kelly, Dunlop, Campbell, Ingle, Johnston, McCullough aDd Fagan. The above game will be played on No. 2 ground Mr E. Morton will officiate as referee.
The Papamoa Juniors to play Maketu on Saturday at 115 p m. will be selected from the following t—Whare (2), Potene, McPhee. E 1 is, Ryburn, MoGiliivr&y, Beechey, Ran&psi, Merriamn, Johnson, IRdge, Thomas, Clarke, McNaughton, Michael, Monday, Wilkins, Collier, Perkins, Jensen, Alexander. Bryant. Mr R. Wifi&pi wiij handle the whistle.
The United Junior team which was so successful iu the j inior competitions last year, will be considerably weakened this year through the loss of E, Cooney, B. Smith ar.d I. Steele.
Mr Kingi Ttthiwi, Secretary of the Maori Rugby Advisory Board, has been _ appointed tp an after of the Maori team to visit Australia this season,
