Sudden Death
A very sudden fatality occurred at Paengaroa on Tuesday, Mr J. y. Mailman, a well-known settler dropping dead when returning home from work. The deceased, who was in his fiftieth year, saw active service in the war, having left New Zealand with the 3rd Reinforcements, 6th Hauraki Regiment.' On his return he commenced farming at Cambridge but about eight years ago became a resident of this district. He leaves a widow and four children with whom great sympathy will be felt. The funeral took place yesterday, the Rev A. Davis conducting the burial service.
