What takes the Misses H to the dancing class? Is it to learn to dance, or to see P M?... What makes M S shave clean? Is it to charm those two little girls at the Salvation Army ?...8o C F has a girl at last.-.P C has no attraction in Archill now. Has B B given you the cold shoulder ?...So T B and J H have forsaken each other now. Who will be the next T?. .How was it J C and E C did not go to the ball? Never mind, J; the return is coining. .Great weeping amongst the ladies of Newton since our local barber has taken his departure...L S says he is open for engagement. If any of the young ladies are ready io propose, who do you prefer, L ? Is it M M . What a pity the dancing season is over. B S will not bo able to show that dress suit... M E says it is a pity A C cannot go dancing dow. Never mind. M ; he keeps hiß eye on you all the same...Too bad of HP to take L P home from the concert, and' leave the other young man waiting. .T P wears a worried look lately. Is he fretting for G B ?. .J F says she doesn't believe in going to dances now. How is that, J..J B loosed very loving taking C W home the other evening. Did not know M B was •watching round the corner. You should be more careful, J...W J looks down-hearted since G B has taken to flirting. Never mind, W ; some day she'll wander back again.. C A and A J looked very loving the other evening. The tin cans are gettfngready, C..H B and M C look like business. Don't forget the 0 M with a piece of the cake, M. .H H is a great ladycharmer, but why not be satisfied with one, H, instead of half-a dozen ?...The O M would like to know who the two young ladies are that took a young man out for a walk to Avondale on Sunday. Surely not S C and JF. Why did they hide behind the stone wall ?. .F Me is again approaching the holy bonds of matrinony...F W and W G have left Auckland, and the school for scandal is broken up. ..Spooning at the recent surprise party was plentiful, especially T T, J S, and A X...Odds on TP and G E are now quoted at 100 to 1. .What takes S C down to Welleslev-street on Sunday night? Does she go to bring J W home? ..B S has not been seen much in Newton lately. The O M thinks he must have tied the fatal knot.
