BOMBAY
Intense excitement prevails here just now, owing to gold having been found in somebody's land. Several Bombay settlers are leaving their farms, and turning to gold and coal prospecting. E P has even decided not to go to Waihi now, in case this turns out a second WaiM. There is also a lot of talk about forming a company to work the coal that is here. H L and G D think there's a fortune in it, and H L says there is one continuous coal bed from here to Hantly, and talks about going Home to float the company.
